Australian seller guide
A useful listing gives a buyer the facts they need quickly: what the item is, its real condition, what is included, where it is and what you want for it. Use this checklist before you publish.
List electronics freeUse the brand, model, size, age or specification that helps distinguish your electronics from similar items.
Show wear, faults and damage clearly. If something works, explain what you tested rather than using vague claims.
List accessories, chargers, keys, manuals, attachments, spare parts or anything that is not included but a buyer might reasonably expect.
Give enough location and pickup, delivery or postage information for the buyer to know whether the deal is realistic for them.
Start with a clear full-item photo in good light. Then photograph the important sides, controls, labels, model numbers, included accessories and any wear or damage. Buyers should not have to message you just to discover what the item actually looks like.
Use a simple background where you can. Do not hide defects with filters or heavy editing. For large items, include a wider photo that helps show scale. For smaller items, close-ups of identifying details can make the listing much more useful.
Compare genuinely similar used items by model, age, condition and included extras. An unrealistic asking price that has been online for months is not evidence of market value.
If clearing space or turning the item into cash quickly matters, price toward the more attractive end of comparable listings. If the item is unusual and you are prepared to wait, you can test a stronger price without pretending it is worth more than the evidence supports.
These are some of the sections buyers may browse on Bidra. Choose the closest match instead of forcing the item into a broad category.
